The bag creator Jug's words regarding the bag below

Last month, our sewing team headed to Bespoked Osaka, a handmade bicycle show held in Osaka, to host our very first custom reflector workshop in the city.

(Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by! You guys kept us busy throughout the entire event!)

Since we were going to be away for five days and four nights, I decided to bring along my trusty industrial sewing machine. I figured it would be a great opportunity to work on our monthly custom messenger bag while soaking up the atmosphere in Osaka, so I packed up all my materials and headed out.

I simplified the design for the trip, stripping away the straps for a clean, no-frills look.

If I had to give it a name, I'd call it **"The Messenger Bag Simplified."**

I'd previously made a messenger bag with this same design for Friday, Blue Lug's sister shop, and I really liked its simple, stripped-down look. So I decided to go with the same approach for this month's custom bag.

With such a minimal design, I'm hoping you'll have fun making it your own with your own creative ideas.

That said, I couldn't resist adding a couple of reflector strips, so I went ahead and put two on there.

The outer fabric is a vibrant blue, USA-made Cordura, and I'm really digging that bold, crisp color.

Needless to say, we were so busy with the custom reflector workshop during the show that I barely had any time to work on the bag...

I ended up sewing it little by little, squeezing in whatever time I could before the doors opened and after the show closed each day.

"THE MESSENGER BAG" is a classic messenger bag by BLUE LUG.

The bag features the old school details based on the original messenger bags in the 70's such as nylon outer, tarpaulin liner, 5cm width thick nylon belt and non-plastic metal parts.

There are 6 pockets inside and the big one can be a sleeve for 13inch PC or tablet devices.
The look of it is old school but the inside is quite modern and practical for daily-use.

This is our messenger bag has the perfect balance of minimal yet essential functions and the classic design.
