This hand-built wheel pairs FAIRWEATHER’s original ALL ROAD HUB, designed to achieve an ideal balance of strength and weight, with the CLIFFHANGER, a classic rim from Australian-born rim manufacturer VELOCITY.

The wheel is built around the FAIRWEATHER ALL ROAD HUB.

The distinctive zigzag-machined flanges are designed to reduce weight without sacrificing stiffness.

The original hub shell was refined through repeated testing, resulting in a functional design where every detail serves a purpose. Sealed cartridge bearings provide smooth rotation and long-lasting durability.

The rear hub is compatible with Shimano HG 9/10/11-speed cassettes, while the rotor mount uses the Center Lock standard.

By swapping the separately sold end caps, the hub can be converted between quick-release and thru-axle setups, giving it excellent versatility.

For the rim, we chose the CLIFFHANGER—one of the toughest and most stable rims in VELOCITY’s lineup.

Its generous 25mm internal width works well with a wide range of tires suited to everything from paved roads to gravel, making it a dependable choice for many different types of bikes and riding styles.
