SURLY Bikes. Fun, tough, reasonable but high quality. This is the 650b Straggler frame set.

A true classic from the SURLY archives, the legendary cyclocross frame "Cross x Check."

Built from tough chromoly tubing, the Cross Check can be set up for anything from a road-style build to a dirt-ready rig with big tires, or a laid-back setup with fenders and a basket. Pretty much peak Surly.

The slim chromoly silhouette keeps things classic, while the generous tire clearance fits tires up to around 45C, making a monster-cross build totally possible.

The 132.5mm rear spacing sits right between 130mm and 135mm, so you can run either road or MTB hubs.

Plenty of mounts are there for fenders, racks, and whatever else you want to bolt on. The horizontal-ish rear dropouts also make it easy to run geared or single-speed.

Touring, muddy cyclocross, chill city cruising—the possibilities are pretty much endless.

Sadly discontinued in 2022, this is the very last batch of Cross Checks we're putting online.
