BLACK MOUNTAIN CYCLES, a small bike shop with EPIC passion and understanding towards bikes. Based in Point Reyes Station, CA, US.
The Mod. Zero was designed by Mike Varley, the brand owner himself and was invented as a successor for the MCD and the Road+ frame. And you already know what the logo was inspired from.
The geometry of the bike is based from their discontinued model, MCD. Mod. Zero features a flat mount disc brake, which is filled with options in the current market, 44mm head tubes for that extra rigidness and the availability to swap the fork to a carbon one. It can fit up to 700x50c or 27.5" x.2.25" tires.
Two cage mounts, pack mounts on the top and the bottom of the seat tube, dropper post compatible, many eyelets and fender mounts can be seen throughout the frame.
During the 90's, the golden age of mountain bikes, Mike Varley sent out many historical bike frames from big bike companies.
After many years later, he reached to his current style from 2007, Designing bikes that he loves, and sell them in his shop that he loves.
You can access their website from here.
*option We will face and tap the surface of head tube and BB. We'll make the framesets good to go straight out the box. We could also install headsets, BB and we can cut the steerer column for you. Let us know if you need to.
