The design is inspired by the "D.A.R.E. program", a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.

"P.O.T.A." stands for "Prevention Of Traffic Accidents"

The word "pota" is also a Japanese slang for cruising around with a bike, without deciding a destination, which comes from the english word "puttering".
