*RONS BIKES* alumaxⅡ frame set (moon light fade)

“RON’S BIKES” is the brand founded by ULTRAROMANCE, a key figure in the US cycling scene.

This is the updated second production run of the brand’s original Aluminus Maximus, better known as the AluMAX.

Inspired by bikes from ULTRAROMANCE’s own collection—including Charlie Cunningham, U.P., Crux, and MOG—the AluMAX is produced in extremely limited numbers. It is a truly timeless, high-performance gravel frame.

The frame is constructed from aerospace-grade 7000-series aluminum and paired with a Taper Trax Fork. It is compatible with cantilever or V-brakes, and despite being a rim-brake frame, offers generous clearance for wide tires—a wonderfully romantic design in its own right.

This particular model features a special custom paint job created in collaboration between San Diego–based paint artist Cicli Pucci and our very own COOK PAINT WORKS.

The theme behind the paintwork is the color of the sky during the magic hour at sunset, with each frame offering its own interpretation.

The Sunset Fade features a two-tone orange-to-yellow fade, with the colors divided vertically along each tube. It captures the way the sky gradually turns orange as the sun sinks below the horizon.

It may look like a solid color at first glance, but pearl has been added to the paint, making it sparkle beautifully when it catches the sunlight. Combined with the custom finish, the frame has the unmistakable character of a bike from another era. Call it neo-vintage.

The frame was built by Frank the Welder in Vermont, then painted by Cicli Pucci and Konno Boy of COOK PAINT WORKS.

The fork steerer is signed by both Pucci and Konno Boy, along with the date the paintwork was completed!
