“RON’S BIKES” is the brand founded by ULTRAROMANCE, a key figure in the US cycling scene.

The CR1 is a “country road frameset” built around endurance road geometry.

RON’S BIKES’ reinterpretation of the modern road bike, it provides an exceptional platform for spending all day exploring country roads on tires up to 39mm wide.

You won’t find any flashy new standards or Tour de France victories in this frame. What you will find is everything needed to deliver modern performance through simplicity—and nothing you don’t.

A supple fork, generous tire clearance, and mid-reach caliper brakes will take you across all kinds of road surfaces. This is RON’S BIKES’ vision of the “country road frameset”: the CR1.

This particular model features a special custom paint job created in collaboration between San Diego–based paint artist Cicli Pucci and our very own COOK PAINT WORKS.

The theme behind the paintwork is the color of the sky during the magic hour at sunset, with each frame offering its own interpretation.

The Moonlight Fade features a two-tone purple-to-blue finish that fades vertically across the entire frame, evoking the way the sky gradually deepens into blue and purple after the sun sinks below the horizon.

It may look like a solid color at first glance, but pearl has been added to the paint, making it sparkle beautifully when it catches the sunlight. Combined with the custom finish, the frame has the unmistakable character of a bike from another era. Call it neo-vintage.
