Currently, Jan Heine a publisher of the magazine “Bicycle Quarterly” has rebranded his company “Compass Cycles” as “Rene Herse” and is carrying on the brand’s legacy based on the founder’s philosophy of “lightweight, high-performance bikes that are also reliable enough to handler rough terrain and long-distance riding.”

This is their masterpiece road/touring crankset with 3-arm spider.
Old school 3-arm crankset matches classic steel frames of course, but we’d like to recommend putting it on modern bikes too.

With its unique, streamlined design, this 3-arm crankset is the only small-batch production crankset to have passed the fatigue resistance tests for the “racing bike” category under the most stringent EN standards, yet it remains one of the lightest in its class.

Chainring bolts and pedal washers included.

*To obtain the best performance, SHIMANO chains are recommended (even when it runs with CAMPAGNOLO or SRAM derailleurs).
*Not recommended to be used with SRAM flattop chains.
