OVERVIEW
In store : Dec. 6th (Sat) 12:00pm
Online : Dec. 7th (Sun) 7:00pm
The "R-Werks" is a limited frames in collaboration between Ron's Bikes and Crust Bikes made by Frank The Welder, the legendary frame builder who made dozens of iconic frames back in the 90s.
This rigid XC frameset is released as Ron's Bikes and features modern 29er wheel geometry.
Dedacciai 7005 aluminum tubing and the Columbus stee Taper Traxxx fork makes the frame super light.
R=Ronnie/Romance
Werks=Work
EVOO=Extra Virgin Olive Oil
If you know the huge bicycle manufacturer that starts with an "S", you'd probably get the joke.
Both the frame and fork feature a raw (unpainted) finish that vividly retains the marks of handcrafting.
The fork is coated with "Fluid Film," an environmentally friendly rust inhibitor and lubricant containing lanolin derived from sheep's wool.
This treatment allows any rust that forms to remain on the surface, enabling you to enjoy the "Living Finish" aka the aging process.
Note: "Fluid Film" is not a permanent coating. Reapply approximately every six months.
Surface rust can be removed by lightly rubbing with a Scotch-Brite pad (nylon scrubber) soaked in rust inhibitor and lubricant.
MADE IN VERMONT USA by Frank The Welder.
Please note that minor scratches and scuffs may occur during manufacturing and shipping. We appreciate your understanding.
As this is a RAW finish (unpainted), rust may develop over time. Please apply rust prevention treatment as needed.
*option*
We will face and tap the surface of head tube and BB. We'll make the frame sets good to go straight out the box.
We could also install headsets, BB and we can cut the steerer column for you. Let us know if you need to.
