SURLY Bikes. Fun, tough, reasonable but high quality.
The "Steamroller" is a steel single-speed frame which represents SURLY.
Surly granted us with an exclusive color Steamroller for our 20th anniversary!
We learned the simplicity, freedom of bicycles and the beauty of keeping it real from Surly throughout the years.
The Steamroller is one of the very first models that we ever carried from Surly, making it a very special bike to us when talking about track bikes or single-speed bikes.
We’re not sure how many of them we’ve built over the years, but we’re pretty sure it’s a bike we’ve worked on more than any other bikes.
We had cable guides added, a feature that wasn't available at the time, and chose the color as a tribute to the original. We held an internal staff vote to pick our favorite from the archive.
The color that chosen was the “Boston Baked Beans”, which was one of the stock colors of the Steamroller released in 2001. Surly blessed us with a special decal design and updated the color-name to “Frank And Beans” for the special edition frame.
There will also be a special sticker pack included in all the boxes as a gift from Surly.
We are very honored and grateful for this opportunity! Thank you Surly!
